Previewing The Senior Bowl

My favorite time of the year; the 2019 NFL Draft process has officially begun. As the best college All-Star game, the Senior Bowl’s talent surely doesn't disappoint this year and will be a crucial stepping stone for several draft prospects.

The Bills finished the 2018 Season with a 6-10 record, but the Bills aren’t too far away from making serious progress and being a contender for years to come. I breakdown the state of each position group one by one, along with the coaching staff and possible offseason plans.

Bills vs Dolphins Recap

What a way to close out the year. The Bills completely man handled the Dolphins, winning decisively 42-17. Everything seemed to click for the Bills as the game started. The Bills were able to put up 14 quick points in the first quarter, and then were met with a little resistance, as they Dolphins tied the game up at 14-14 entering halftime. In the second half, the Bills out scored the Dolphins 28-3. Overall, the Bills simply outplayed the Dolphins in all three phases, out gaining the Dolphins 381 yards to 225.

Bills vs Dolphins Preview

Kyle Willams will take the field one last time this Sunday as the Bills close out the 2018 NFL Season. The Bills and Dolphins have nothing to play for as they are both already eliminated from playoff contention. That said, this is still a rivalry game and Adam Gase, the coach of the Dolphins would surely like to get another win for his team as he is on the hot seat entering Black Monday.

Bills vs Patriots Recap

The Bills lost to the Patriots 24-12, falling to 5-10 on the season. A twelve point lost doesn't really indicate how one sided this game was. The Bills were trounced on defense, allowing 273 rushing yards against a subpar running team. That said, the Bills did keep Tom Brady in check, holding him to 126 passing yards and forcing two interceptions.

Bills vs Patriots Preview

The Bills play their final away game today against the Patriots. Earlier this season, the Patriots beat the Bills 25-6 in Orchard Park; however, Derek Anderson was our starting quarterback that game, and the game was 12-6 Patriots going into the fourth quarter. That said, I expect a close contest today. If the Bills play defense as well as they did last time, Allen should make all the difference.

Bills vs Lions Recap

The Buffalo Bills defeated the Detroit Lions 14-13, in what was an ugly game. Both teams are riddled with injuries and at points, the Bills played without a healthy Running Back. Josh Allen and the Bills were able to do just enough to win the game.

Bills vs Lions Preview

A hobbled Lions team comes to town this weekend to take on the Bills. Lions Quarterback Matthew Stafford who has been a limited participant in practice all week, is questionable for Sunday with a back injury. If Stafford is unable to play, former Bills’ player Matt Cassel would get the start.

Bills vs Jets Recap

The Bills collapsed in the second half against the Jets, losing 27-23. The Bills entered the fourth quarter winning 20-13, but couldn’t get anything to go their way for the last 15-minutes. Quarterback Josh Allen was once agin mediocre in the passing game, completing just 50% of his passes (18-36) for 205 yards. Allen also threw two critical interceptions and finished with a 44.4 Quarterback Rating. Allen still needs time to develop as a pro passer, and continues to make the easy throws look hard. Allen will rely on his legs for the rest of the season as he ran for another 101 yards today.
