Bills vs. Colts Preview
Who: Buffalo Bills (2-4) vs. Indianapolis Colts (1-5)
When: Sunday, October 21st 1:00 p.m.
Where: Lucas Oil Stadium
The Buffalo Bills travel to Indianapolis to take on the Colts this week. Both teams have struggled mightily this season in their own respect and fans looking for a fun, mistake free game should tune in elsewhere during the early window of games this Sunday. The Colts, lead by Andrew Luck have been in some close games this year, and have looked fairly competitive at times. However, without a larger sample size, injury concerns still surround the Colts star Quarterback.
The Bills’ pass rush should be able to place Luck under a decent amount of pressure and might even be able to force a turnover or two. Furthermore, the Bills will be relying heavily on their defense today as Derek Anderson gets the start in place of the injured Josh Allen. Coach McDermott felt as if he’d lose the locker room if he decided to play Nate Peterman again. We have mentioned several times throughout the season that Peterman is not a legitimate option at Quarterback. Don’t be surprised when Allen returns, and Anderson plays just well enough in the interim to be considered the backup moving forward, resulting in Peterman being cut. As for this game, Anderson just needs to not turn the ball over and the Bills defense should once again keep them in the game. If Anderson and the defense struggles, this game will be over by halftime.
I will also say that although the Colts have been somewhat competitive this season, they still aren't that good of a team. Saying that this game could be possibly over by halftime speaks more to the Bills’ situation than it does about the Colts. That said, I do believe that Anderson gives the Bills the best chance of winning today, and as a result, this should be a low scoring affair given how well the defense plays.
