Bills vs. Titans Preview

Who: Buffalo Bills (1-3) vs. Tennessee Titans (3-1)

When: Sunday, October 7th 1:00 p.m.

Where: New Era Field

The Bills return home this week to face the Titans. Although the Titans are 3-1, I’m not counting the Bills out of this one just yet. The Titans defense should match up very well against a struggling Bills offense; but, when it comes to the Titans offense, lead by Marcus Mariota, the Bills may be able to take advantage of his arm injury which is still impeding his throwing hand.

There’s been tons of talk this week on how the Titans are being disrespected by the national media. Being a Bills fans, i get what they are talking about. However, when your Franchise Quarterback throws more interceptions than touchdowns late in his rookie contract, people may want to question the viability of the team making a deep playoff run. Couple this with a new head coach, and several Patriot castoffs, it becomes clear why people aren’t giving the Titans credit. If Mariota plays well and remains healthy throughout this year, then maybe we start to think about giving them credit. Similar to the Jaguars, the Titans need to dominate teams before people give credit to historically luster teams.

With that said, even if the Bills can’t get McCoy involved early and often, I still don’t see the Titans running away with this game. I suspect this to be a low scoring affair with the game getting somewhat ugly at times. If the Bills can “upset” the Titans and get back into the win column, there remains hope for this season. If however, the Bills get man handled once again, management will need to strongly considering packing it in and trading some of our players who may not be in our long term plans.
