Bills Sign WR Deonte Thompson

The Bills have elected to bring back a familiar face, signing former Bill Deonte Thompson to a one year deal. Thompson lasted played for the Bills in 2017 putting up career best numbers: 27 catches for 430 yards and a touchdown. Thompson and the Bills hope that he will be able to recreate some of that production for the remainder of the season. The 29-year-old was not resigned by the Bills following the 2017 season and signed a one year contract with the Dallas Cowboys. Thompson was the cut by the Cowboys following training camp and then was resigned by the club and appeared in eight games this season. During those eight games, Thompson caught 14 passes for 124 yards.

The Bills are in desperate need of help at the receiver position following the quick exit of Pryor earlier this week. Thomas along with the reemergence of Robert Foster and Zay Jones should be a good starting point as Rookie Josh Allen returns after this week’s bye.
