Bills v. Jets Preview
Who: Buffalo Bills (2-7) vs. New York Jets (3-6)
When: Sunday, November 11th 1:00 p.m.
Where: MetLife Stadium
This week the Bills have their second divisional game of the year as they travel to New York to take on the Jets. As I mentioned last week, this is a very winnable game for the Bills. Both the Jets and Bills are rebuilding their teams around their respective young Quarterbacks. Speaking of those Quarterbacks, Josh Allen for the Bills is recovering from an elbow injury and should be back in the lineup after the bye week, or shortly thereafter. Sam Darnold of the Jets just suffered what sources are calling a “significant” foot injury that has the 21 year old in a walking boot. Just as the Bills are getting their Quarterback back, the Jets are losing theirs.
This week the Bills will trot out Matt Barkley rather than having Nathan Peterman, who may be cut when Allen is healthy. Barkley will face Josh McCown who was supposed to be the Jets starting Quarterback this year, but after seeing how Darnold played during the preseason, the Jets had very little choice.
I think the Bills will struggle mightily to move the ball, but that’s somewhat expected when a team plays four different quarterbacks within ten games. Look for the Jets to take full advantage of Barkley’s inexperience and force a few turnovers. This is another game where the Bills could hang around and even possibly win if their defense plays great. All said, this should be one of the worst games to watch this Sunday.
