Bills vs. Chargers Preview

Who: Buffalo Bills (0-1) vs. Los Angeles Chargers (0-1)

When: Sunday, September 16th 1:00 p.m.

Where: New Era Field

The Josh Allen era officially starts this week against the Chargers. The Bills made the only move possible after the debacle in Baltimore. Allen, and the Bills will try to generate some sort of offense against a team who gave up 38 points and 362 last week. That said, the Chargers themselves scored 28 points and gained 541 yards. Similar to the Baltimore game, this game could get ugly quick. If the Bills wish to remain in the game, players like LeSean McCoy need to step up and play well. Taking the ball out of Allen’s hands should go a long way with him making his first career start. Defensively, I’m not sure if the Bills will be able to stop all of the weapons the Chargers have. Similar to last year’s game, several Chargers players could have big days tomorrow.

I think the Bills make some progress in terms of looking like a real NFL team, but not enough to win the game. Hopefully, the Chargers take the Bills lightly, traveling across the country for a game they should win. I’ll be looking closely at Allen, as every other Bills fan to see not only how he handles the pressure, but just how different the entire offense looks with him at the helm.

Bills - 17  Chargers - 35
